DANIEL WELLINGTON – CLASSY TIMEPIECE SET

We prefer using a real watch to checking our phones for time. This is especially true when we have to shut off our devices on flights or when our phones are simply out of reach (like when it’s buried deep under all that junk in my bag). Not only are these Daniel Wellington watches practical, but also very classy. Gone are the days where I’m sitting on long-hauls wondering “How many more hours until my back stops hurting?”!

From now until December 30th get 10% off every watch and cuff purchase; use promo code kollectingkoordinates to get an additional 15% off until January 31st!

SUDIO SWEDEN – WIRELESS EARBUDS

These are amazing. We watch shows and movies on our phones when we’re in transit, and it’s always a pain having to hold up our device close to our face. With these, we’re able to sit back, relax, and enjoy studio quality audio without getting tangled up in wires. The design is elegant and comes with a beautiful leather case; they even feel nice. These are compatible with any Bluetooth device and last up to 8 hours before needing a recharge. Seriously, once you go wireless you can’t go back!

MIRRORLESS CAMERA

A lot of you have asked what camera we use. We don’t have a DSLR- can’t afford one, but we’re taking donations if anyone’s feeling generous (jokes… not really). Mirrorless cameras are easier on the wallet and very compact, perfect for traveling! Our old Sony NEX-5R has been with us for many years now and we still love this little guy. We got a E-mount prime lens and wide-angle lens for different purposes and we’ve been really happy with it! If your wallet’s a little fatter, the Sony Alpha a6500 and Sony a7 Full-Frame are amazing contenders. There’s also the Canon EOS M3 or Nikon 1 J5 if you aren’t a Sony fan.

GOPRO

We love capturing memories but sometimes pictures just don’t do it justice. With our GoPro HERO4 Silver, we’ve been able to make videos from our travels and share it with our families who live vicariously through our blog and Youtube channel. Check out our video from our Philippines trip, shot with our GoPRo

The HERO5 Black came out not long ago but we’re gonna hang onto our 4 for the time being since we have all the accessories and gimbal for stabilizing. There’s also the Session if you’re looking for something more affordable.

E-BAG AND PACKING CUBES

We travel light and swear by the eBags Mother Loade Weekender Convertible. We’ve gone 3 weeks in Southeast Asia (on 2 separate occassions) and almost a month in Europe with it. You’ll be amazed at how much you can shove in this thing. It’s super light, sturdy, and costs less than 100 bucks!

— For the Bookworm —

E-READER

Long transits are now a lot more tolerable because of my Kindle Paperwhite. It’s thin, light, and super easy on the eyes even in dark settings (i.e. on flights). The touchscreen display reads like real paper and I never have to worry about screen glare even in sunlight. It’s got a crazy battery life too!

— For the Beachbum / Comfort-Seeker / Yogi —

ROUNDIE TOWEL

This baby is so versatile- you can use it as a blanket on flights, beach towel, or yoga mat!  I recently got one from Rollo and can’t wait to use it on our upcoming trip to Central America. Morning yoga at Lake Atitlan and sun tanning at the Belize Cayes? Yaaaaas! They’re 5ft in diameter, 100% cotton, and come in 5 different fun, fringy styles.

That Rollo Towel is so cute! I’ve seen several of them with darker pattens, but I love the one that you have. I want to use the towel as a throw blanket during the winter and then use it for my yoga classes in the summer. PS Your dog is adorable!!!

These are so much fun! I love my DW watch (might have a minor watch obsession *cough*), and I just got the Sony A6000. Can’t wait to start playing with it. My friend has the Sony A7 full frame, and it’s a piece of art, but sadly wayyyy out of my price range! Going to have to check out those earbuds. I just lost mine for the umpeenth time and need a new pair.

    • November 30, 2016 / 10:13 pm

I’ve been eyeing that A7 too but you’re right, that price tag hurts my heart haha. But that image quality is extraordinary!

  11. November 29, 2016 / 4:33 am

Love this collection of gifts! I’m a recent discoverer of packing cubes and I must say that I never leave home without them now! And of course, who could resist getting the towel with that cute doggie on it?

  12. November 29, 2016 / 11:31 am

Your dog is seriously the cutest. I loved the photo with your fur baby and the ear plugs. Also, I’ve been looking at the Sony A5000 for awhile! I’m definitely thinking of getting it!

    • November 30, 2016 / 10:14 pm

took about 1hr of a gentle massage before she fell asleep for that shot lol

Great gift guide. I want them all – will have to casually leave this list laying around the house 😉

  14. November 29, 2016 / 9:30 pm

I have to hint STRONGLY to my husband about those wireless earbuds. I’m always getting mine tangled. Great idea!

  15. November 29, 2016 / 9:34 pm

I’m looking at purchasing a new lens for my camera but I think the model of my camera is obsolete. Lol. I may have to buy a new camera then. Thanks for the tips. Was looking at Sony actually. 🙂

    • November 30, 2016 / 10:14 pm

new camera it is! the A7 if you can afford… insane quality!!

  16. November 30, 2016 / 12:41 am

I have my hand up for a pair of wireless Bluetooth earbuds! Anyone want to buy me some for Christmas? Have you tried them? Do the work well?

    • November 30, 2016 / 10:15 pm

Yes I LOVE them! I love that I don’t have to be attached to my phone/computer all the time and still have audio coming through. It really makes a difference when I’m working out and doing chores around the house

  17. November 30, 2016 / 1:20 am

The earbuds are beautiful! Unfortunately they’re out of my price range but I would love to try some wireless earbuds. I always bring headphones with me when I travel, or in my day to day life, and they can be a hassle sometime esp when I’ve got thick layers on in the winter and they tend to get tangled everywhere. Great list!

    • November 30, 2016 / 10:16 pm

Oh I feel you girl! I’ve dropped my phone so many times untangling those damn cords…

  18. November 30, 2016 / 8:15 am

AWW the rollo towel is so cute! Looks more like a blanket never had such a fancy towel haha. Wireless earbuds are a good idea but I’m a messy person and would probably lose them in a flash 🙁

  19. November 30, 2016 / 10:18 am

I really need a GroPro is my life. I’ll have to show this to the husband and hopefully he’ll get the hint!
I’m always freezing on flights and might need a Rollo Towel! Does that cute doggy come with it? I want him too 😀

  20. November 30, 2016 / 5:42 pm

Great ideas. I never knew that you could get bluetooth headphones, those would come in really handy!! I have a panasonic lumix camera but need to upgrade next year, still undecided whether to get a DSLR or not!! My kindle I could not live without, I read so much, though I can’t while actually travelling as I get so travel sick, but I now buy audio books to listen to instead which is great.

    Great travel gift ideas.

  22. November 30, 2016 / 8:32 pm

These are really good ideas! Is there anywhere I can order a similar dog!? 😛
I actually need a new backpack, so I might check that that eBag in time for our trip to Sri Lanka this winter!

  23. November 30, 2016 / 11:06 pm

Oh some great ideas! My kindle was the best gift I could have gotten as a traveller and you can’t go wrong with a Go Pro!

  24. December 1, 2016 / 3:32 am

Great list! I definitely need the wireless earbuds! I hate it when they tangle. The packing cubes look very helpful too. I need these before the year ends! 🙂
